Meet Lisa Peter, LICSW, LIMHP

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’re already dealing with a lot. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, talking openly about what’s going on, and working through things at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with teens and adults who may be dealing with depression, trauma, eating disorders, substance use, self-harm, relationship concerns, or stressful life changes. I also welcome members of the LGBTQ+ community and want clients to feel respected, supported, and accepted in therapy.

My approach is supportive, practical, and based on what works best for you. I use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and client-centered therapy. We’ll work together to better understand what you’re experiencing, build coping skills, and find realistic ways to move forward.

I believe feeling comfortable with your therapist really matters. My goal is to build a trusting relationship where you feel heard, supported, and encouraged as we work through challenges together.
